(Mishnah:) And so too the thieves who returned the vessels: (Gemara:) And it is contradicted [by the following Baraita]: "The thieves who entered inside the house, only the area in which the thieves walked is impure." Rav Pinchas said in the name of Rabba: "When they repent [they are believed]." This can also be inferred, as it is taught [in the Mishnah], 'Who returned the vessels.'
